Mindful Self-Compassion Course in Bonita Springs

Paulette Grotrian, MA, qualified MSC and MBSR instructor, experienced meditator and teacher, of Mindfulness with Paulette, will lead an eight-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays from February 5 through March 26 at Integrative Mindfulness, in Bonita Springs. A free introductory session is set for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., January 29. During the actual course, up to 25 CEs are approved for psychologists, dietitians, social workers, mental health professionals and nurses. Some scholarships are also available.

Based on Kristen Neff and Christopher Germer’s renowned program at the UCSD Medical School, this empirically supported, eight-week program for both professionals and the general public will teach how to lower levels of anxiety and depression, quiet our inner critic, improve personal relationships, strengthen emotional resilience and experience greater happiness.

Grotrain wo trained with Neff and Germer, and is a founding member of the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness. “Mindfulness and self-compassion are incredible tools to help us befriend ourselves and understand and manage difficult emotions and situations.”
