In 1996, Joanna Salerno, Healer of Hearts, studied to be a spiritual director at Saint Thomas University, in Miami. Her interest in helping people to heal spiritually led her to Healing Touch, an energy-based approach to health and healing based on the belief that each person has a dynamic, subtle energy field around their body that can be influenced to promote health and healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

An excellent complement to conventional medical modalities, Salerno decided to become a licensed massage therapist so she could incorporate Healing Touch within her practice, which she opened in 2004. Salerno explains, “I fell in love with the body as an important tool for spiritual work. The body grounds us, helping us to be mentally and emotionally stable. As I got deeper into my massage work, I learned about CranioSacral Therapy training at the Upledger Institute, in Palm Beach Gardens. After investing in that training, I began to exclusively offer CranioSacral Therapy because it felt like the perfect integration of body and spirit.”

She studied with Uncle’s Ice Wisdom Group for two years and learned how to trust the messages that were coming through her for clients. “I was very interested in where they were coming from, and learned they were from the Akashic Records. I began studying formally with Ernesto Ortiz, who wrote The Akashic Records: Sacred Exploration of Your Soul’s Journey Within the Wisdom of the Collective Consciousness and became certified in that work in 2012.

Today, I offer Akashic gallery readings for groups of up to 16 people. An Akashic record gallery reading will offer enlightenment and valuable insight into our souls’ journey, all while being fun and reflective.”
