The Naples Art District will present an Art Alive gallery tour of more than 36 professional artists showcasing and demonstrating their talents from 5 to 8 p.m., December 7. The series kickoff features ceramic bowls that will be sold at an Empty Bowls event to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank on January 28 at Cambier Park.

Shirley Street Studios of Barbara Groenteman and Deborah Martin will offer a special group of bowls for the event. Other artists that will be displaying bowls include Gary Day of smallwalls; Carol Lader and Alice Jacobs, Connie Bransilver and Marianne Megela of The Artists’ Gallery; and Reba George of Arts on Fire.

Beginning next month, the members of the Naples Art District will present an Evening with the Artists on the first Wednesday of each month and a Daytime Artistic Experience each third Saturday. Artists offer quality paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor or mixed media, photography, jewelry, functional and decorative pottery, sculpture, fiber art, wood and furniture for purchase.
