Storytellers of the Round Table, a local group, will host Story Slam: An Evening of Storytelling, from 7 to 9 p.m., January 25, at the Alliance for the Arts, in Fort Myers. The performance art event, featuring 10 area tellers recounting narratives that include personal stories, folktales, fractured fairytales and tall tales, was first held last April to a sold-out audience at the Sugden Theatre, in Naples.

Performances will include, “What’s in a Name,” by Tashahara Jallad, “Left Behind,” by Rhonda Brazina, “Billy the Best Friend,” by Dr. Joel Ying, “The Talking Dog,” by Dwight Elam, “The New School Mascot,” by Lisa Leonhardt and “Martina the Beautiful Cockroach,” by Marilyn Graham.
