Metaphysical gifts, books and other related items appreciated by individuals walking a variety of spiritual paths are the specialty of The Mystical Moon, located in Fort Myers and Bonita Springs. The success of this unique store can largely be attributed to word of mouth, excellent customer service and the popularity of its owner, Laurie Barraco, who is dedicated to helping others learn how to develop their intuitive abilities.

“I have a strong desire to support and empower individuals who choose to do this, because it’s much better for them to follow their own light than to depend on that of others. Mystical Moon’s team of gifted healers and readers, are equally dedicated to helping members of our community to gain clarity, peace and guidance within the walls of our beautiful store or via phone or Skype, ” says Barraco, author of Psychic Development 101.

An intuitive channel and certified instructor of the Anastasi System of Psychic Development, Barraco offers a Psychic Development Mentorship Program, as well as numerous meditation CDs, videos and online courses.

Barraco opened the first Mystical Moon in Island Park in December 2007. Within a year, she needed more space and expanded the store into an empty adjacent retail space, doubling its size. The move to the Salrose Lane location was made after her 2013 lease ended. Bonita Springs opened in June 2015 to serve customers that didn’t want to drive to Fort Myers.

Pleased with the sense of community that has developed around Mystical Moon, Barraco hosts events that give customers a reason to unplug from the outside world and come together. “Other times, people just pop in just to say hello, chat and find out what’s going on. I love to see people bump into one another serendipitously,” remarks Barraco.

Mystical Moon’s online community and social network gives its 800 members the opportunity to hang out and chat, or watch and interact with Barraco’s weekly live stream, cohosted by Jodi LaMure, on topics such as power animals or the subject of Carolyn Myss’ book, Sacred Contracts. “We have a great time. Many of our members write blogs and share photos, as well as stories. Visitors can apply to be granted access,” she explains.

Mystical Moon is located at 8890 Salrose Lane, Ste. 107, in Fort Myers (239-939-3339); and 8951 Bonita Beach Rd., Ste. 255 in Bonita Springs (239-301-0655). For more information, visit TheMysticalMoon.com.
