Assuage Spa, in Fort Myers, will host a holiday fundraising event for the Stroke Recovery Foundation from 5 to 7 p.m., December 12. Attendees can enjoy a silent auction, chair massages, complementary skin consultations, hors d’oeuvres, wine, raffle prizes and giveaways.

Stroke is the fifth-leading cause of death in the U.S. and the leading cause of long-term disability. The foundation assists Southwest Florida’s stroke survivors, particularly younger patients, to maximize recovery by providing resource support, stroke recovery coaching and education, and funding needed therapy for economically challenged survivors.
