Dee Harris, owner of D-Signed Nutrition, will present Introduction to Cancer Care and Prevention with Nutrition, Lifestyle and other Modalities, a six-part monthly series, from 5:45 to 7 p.m., beginning January 24, at Wellbridges, in Bonita Springs. Participants will learn about locally available alternative treatments, the power of meditation and how to practice it effectively, the importance of sleep and how to improve it for healing, stress management and post-treatment detoxification.

Individuals and families faced with a cancer challenge have better outcomes when they are empowered and educated.  Harris wants to dispel the common misconception that nutrition has nothing to do with cancer, contending that it is one of the most important factors in the prevention and healing process.  

The classes will educate and empower participants with tips and strategies to implement immediately to help decrease the risk of cancer risk and improve quality of life during treatments.
