New physicians’ offices and a state-of-the-art health and wellness center staffed by experts from Lee Health are expected to open at Babcock Ranch, just north of Fort Myers, in April. More than 21,000 square feet of space in the Town Center will provide primary care physicians, rehabilitation services and health and wellness services to residents of the nation’s first solar city and the surrounding community.

“We are excited to be the health and wellness partner at Babcock Ranch,” says Larry Antonucci, M.D., Lee Health president and chief executive officer. “We have been entrusted with providing the care for residents of a brand-new community, which is a truly unique opportunity.

Services will include individual and group exercise, Pilates, massage, mind and body programs, and physical therapy. The facility will feature state-of-the-art energy-efficient cardio and strength-training equipment, a lap pool and a multi-use half-court for members. The community’s first primary care and medical specialty services will open this summer, provided by Lee Physician Group. Occupational and speech therapy services will be added as needed.
