The Firefly Within Foundation is presenting the regional premiere of Just One Drop, a documentary on the past and current state and controversy surrounding homeopathic remedies, at 7:30 p.m., January 16, at the Coconut Point Stadium 16, in Estero. Laurel Chiten, producer and director of the theatrical on demand film, will attend the special screening.

The documentary relates how homeopathic remedies have existed for centuries, but are relatively new to and frequently misunderstood by the general American public, and uncovers many mysteries and myths. Homeopathics have also recently come under the scrutiny and increased regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The filmmakers think it is important to inform ourselves so we can make educated decisions about our own health care, and not leave it in the hands of big pharma or federal departments.

Homeopathic remedies are currently available over the counter at nearly any health store across the country, including Southwest Florida, without the need of a doctor’s prescription to start using and reaping the benefits of this inexpensive natural way to heal.
