Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program in Lee County by learning the nine principles of having a Florida-friendly yard. A special workshop will provide such tips from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., December 14, at the Eco-Living Facility, in Rutenberg Park, in Fort Myers.

Topics will include hurricane-resistant trees, maintenance, efficient irrigation, proper mulching and techniques to save money and create a beautiful and healthy yard.
