Doug Niven, a licensed massage therapist for more than 30 years, recently joined the staff of owner Robyn Berry at the RB Institute, in Fort Myers. He is available to provide services to clients from Monday through Friday (except Thursdays) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Niven, a massage instructor, tutor and mentor to many students, is certified in Myofascial Release, neuromuscular trigger point therapy, shiatsu and Swedish massage, with a current focus in Myofascial Release, unwinding work for injury rehabilitation and pain management, relaxation therapy, hot stone massage, cupping and gua-sha (Chinese scraping). 

A graduate of the National Holistic Institute and the Cortiva Institute, Niven was captain of the San Diego sports massage team that provided pre- and post-event massages to the U.S. Women’s Olympic Synchronized Swim Team and the U.S. Women’s Sand Volleyball Team, which both trained in the city.
