A fun and family-friendly fundraising event for Bear Warriors United, the nonprofit organization that defends Florida’s wildlife, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on March 21, 2026, at Rooftop at Riverside, in Bonita Springs. Attendees will enjoy beverages at a cash bar, live music and hors d’oeuvres in a casual, lively setting that includes firepits and views of Riverside Park while supporting the protection of wildlife.

Executive Director Katrina Shadix will speak about the status of several recent and ongoing lawsuits in state and federal courts, one addressing water quality issues and habitat loss for manatees and another focused on stopping annual bear hunts and protecting bear habitats.

The event will also include a raffle featuring a signed Everglades triptych by renowned conservation photographer Clyde Butcher, valued at $1,550, along with a signed book that includes a vellum insert signed by the artist, valued at $275.

Serving as a voice for nature, Bear Warriors United is committed to protecting native species, particularly Florida’s black bears, advocating for humane conservation policies, educating the public on wildlife protection and preserving natural habitats. Funds raised support the organization’s legal fees and public education programs.
