In Nature it’s impossible to tug on a single thing, without pulling on all that is interconnected with it. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that to achieve optimal health, it is important to seek out practitioners that think systemically about the whole body and who understand the relationships and interconnections within body systems. A well-seasoned and well-rounded trained board-certified colon therapist, C. Robyn Filkill-Berry, owner and operator of the R B Institute in Fort Myers, is such a systems thinker.

A Perspective of Wholeness

“It’s good for people to understand that because everything in the body is connected, healing is never about addressing one thing. Practitioners trained in various healing modalities create the perspective of connectedness and wholeness that is missing from conventional medicine. It is also invaluable when health practitioners can teach individuals how to shift their wellness by lifestyle and diet changes,” she says.

Continued Education, Modalities, and Equipment

Actively serving the community for 35 years, Berry has taken the time to train and receive certifications in the areas of sports therapy and rehabilitation, colonic hydrotherapy, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, CranioSacral Therapy, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, sound and vibrational therapies, ozone modalities, Raindrop Therapy, MPS Dolpin Neurstim Pain Therapy, the best uses of the ionic foot detox bath, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, Power Plate Pro Air Adaptive 5 and Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency Therapies such as the BEMER 2000 HD, used by many chiropractors. This education, understanding and utilizing various modalities and her experience are foundational in Berry’s well-rounded approach to the kind of personalized healthcare that she practices.

A 30-day VIP unattended membership fee to her clinic includes several of the therapies on an unlimited basis during open business hours with a confirmed appointment.

Berry has also completed certification in traditional Thai massage and is training for a doctorate in Thai medicine. She offers all these services under one roof at RB Institute.

Patients’ Needs Expanded Services

Berry learned throughout the years that listening to patients needs could guide her on expanding her trainings to show diversity in the right way. “We are all trying to educate and assist people who are endeavoring to cleanse, detoxify, rejuvenate and balance. I took the diversity inclusion to mean being diversified in many ways to Make America Healthy Again. I geared my education and training to meet this framework,” she says.

Berry uses the Gravity Enclosed System for colonic hydrotherapy and is Board Certified in this approach as well as the Pressurized System. “I choose to use the gravity enclosed system as it is the original method and much gentler on patients. The water capacity is measured so as not to create an electrolyte imbalance. Up to 20 gallons of water are used.”

She cautions individuals to make sure that the methods of colonic therapy they choose are fully attended by a board-certified trained colon therapist in the State of Florida.
