Paying Hope Forward

Priscilla Simonsen

Before Priscilla Simonsen, a Quantum Healing Hypnosis practitioner, had completed her series of chemotherapy treatments, endured a brutal Whipple surgery, and navigated two-and-a-half years of recovery, she had already decided she would offer hope to others.

The Whipple Procedure

The Whipple procedure, formally known as a pancreaticoduodenectomy, removes tumors located in the head of the pancreas, as well as portions of the duodenum, gallbladder, and bile duct. The goal is to remove all cancerous tissue, followed by reconstruction of the digestive system. The remaining pancreas, bile duct, and stomach are reconnected to the small intestine to restore digestive function.

The Diagnosis

“The diagnosis terrified me,” recalls Simonsen. “My mind immediately leapt to the death sentence often associated with pancreatic cancer. Although I knew there weren’t many survivors, I needed to hear their stories—stories of people who were not simply managing their illness through the medical system and chemotherapy, but who had restored their health and were living vibrant, meaningful lives. That became the thread of hope I could cling to.”

The Search for Hope

Simonsen’s search for hope focused largely on the daily habits of survivors who were thriving. Her questions were direct and deeply personal. How were they nourishing their bodies? How were they caring for their minds and emotions? What were their spiritual practices? What kind of relationship did they have with their Creator? In essence, she wanted to understand every aspect of their lives.

She researched extensively online and in libraries, reading books and medical articles on pancreatic cancer. “Sometimes the online searches were discouraging because the outcomes were often not positive,” Simonsen says. “But when I listened to the stories of individuals who were using various healing philosophies and alternative therapies to recover their health, I began studying those approaches more closely.”

One conversation with a stage-4 pancreatic cancer survivor who had lived with inactive tumors throughout her body for 25 years offered a particularly powerful insight.

“Within those 25 years, there were times when her tumors became active,” Simonsen explains. “Her response was surprisingly calm and deeply meaningful. She said, ‘I simply figure out what’s not working in my life. Who do I need to forgive? What is out of balance, and how can I realign with it?’ It was an interesting and profoundly powerful perspective that made a lot of sense to me.”

A New Understanding of Healing

That conversation marked a turning point. Simonsen realized that healing was not solely about eliminating disease; it was also about restoring balance within the body, mind, and spirit.

“That realization opened an entirely new path in my healing journey,” she says. “I began exploring deeper forms of healing such as Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique to access my subconscious, along with breathwork and Reiki. Energy healing played a significant role in my recovery. I wanted to attune to my body and truly listen for its inner guidance.”

Simonsen began incorporating and embodying the principles of QHHT, which eventually became central to her personal health practices.

“That’s when I recognized something remarkable,” she explains. “Our bodies can carry energetic imprints from emotions, traumas, fears, grief, and unresolved experiences. These energies often need to be acknowledged and released. When we do that, the body can respond in powerful ways. This realization shifted my internal energetic state and supported my healing process.”

Paying It Forward

Today, healthy and thriving, Simonsen works as an intuitive healer, Reiki practitioner, and Level 2 QHHT practitioner in the method developed by Dolores Cannon. Through her work, she guides clients in identifying energetic blocks and limiting beliefs while supporting emotional and physical healing.

Simonsen also hosts workshops featuring group past-life regressions in collaboration with the EESystem/Quantum Scalar Wave Wellness Center of Cape Coral. During these sessions, she combines EE Scalar wave technology with hypnosis to create what participants often describe as a deeply immersive and transformative experience.

“My intention is to help people understand the powerful mind-body-spirit connection in healing,” says Simonsen. “Modalities like QHHT offer gentle guidance and self-discovery. Many individuals experience profound transformation as they explore the deeper emotional and energetic aspects of illness.”
