The Pace Center for Girls, Lee Honors Community Leaders
The Pace Center for Girls, Lee—a nonprofit organization providing education, counseling, training and advocacy for girls and young women—recently celebrated its 18th annual Grande Dames Tea, in Fort Myers, by honoring community leaders Bobbie D’Alessandro, Gail Markham and Arden McCurdy for their lasting impact through business, philanthropy and community leadership. The event’s theme, Honoring the Wisdom of Time, highlighted the importance of mentorship and sharing life experiences with future generations.
Held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, this sold-out gathering featured a Q&A session led by Pace students, giving honorees the opportunity to share personal insights and lessons learned throughout their journeys. Guests also enjoyed performances by Pace girls while supporting the organization’s strength-based programs designed to help girls and young women build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.
Founded in 1985, Pace Center for Girls, Lee provides free year-round middle and high school academics, counseling, case management and life skills development in a safe, supportive environment focused on helping girls heal from trauma and achieve their full potential.
