Natural Awakenings Southwest Florida welcomes two professionals, bringing extensive experience in publishing, business management and health and wellness to the team.

Dana Walters is now an assistant to co-publishers Sharon Bruckman and Alina Dabbrowski, supporting them as well as the advertising partners through outreach, follow-up and other assistance as needed. Walters brings 16 years of experience as the former publisher of Natural Awakenings Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties in New York. She is passionate about holistic living and the magazine’s mission and looks forward to connecting with local businesses and practitioners while helping them reach readers seeking healthier, more balanced lives. Carolyn Coogan came on board earlier this year as an administrative assistant and editorial coordinator. Her background includes more than 25 years in business management, communications and design, along with experience in health and wellness operations and small-business ownership. Coogan also previously published the New York Capital District’s edition of Natural Awakenings from 2013 to 2020.
