HarvestPak Helps New Gardeners Grow With Confidence
Cape Coral residents Michelle and Jeff Shore launched HarvestPak last December to help new gardeners grow food successfully by providing seeds and guidance tailored to their location and growing season. The woman-owned, veteran-connected business draws on Michelle’s 15 years of gardening experience and lessons learned through trial and error.
Each monthly shipment includes five heirloom vegetable, herb or fruit seed varieties selected according to the customer’s U.S. Department of Agriculture’s growing zone and current planting season. Subscribers also receive access to the HarvestPak gardening app, which includes a personalized planting calendar, garden planner, seed inventory, care guides, harvest tracking, a gardening community and plant-problem identification help. The Harvest Hotline provides access to personal assistance from a gardener when questions arise about germination, pests or other growing challenges.
HarvestPak offers one-, three- and six-month plans, ranging from $25 to $125, with free shipping. The Shores also hope to expand the company’s community efforts by providing seeds and gardening resources to schools.
